Your mission as a Senior Research Consultant

We are looking for a Senior Research Consultant - US (m/f/d) to join our US Research Consulting Team. In this role, you will take the lead in guiding and mentoring our clients through every phase of the market research process - from selecting the optimal research methodologies and crafting comprehensive questionnaires to overseeing fieldwork execution in collaboration with our operational teams.

You will also be responsible for interpreting research findings and delivering impactful insights and recommendations, including the creation of detailed reports and Appinio Boards tailored to client needs. Additionally, you’ll collaborate closely with our commercial teams, representing our research excellence and expertise in key pitches and RFPs.

What you’ll be doing

  • Be a sparring partner for a variety of clients - mainly on the enterprise level - in the creation, adaptation, and interpretation of various market research projects
  • Conception of study designs (e.g., method, target group, sample size) - mainly complex, strategic projects (e.g., target group analyses/segmentation, brand health trackers, multi-country research)
  • Conception of bespoke questionnaires across a multitude of use cases (e.g., U&A, tracking, concept testing, creative testing, MaxDiff, Conjoint)
  • Interpretation of market research results to give clients hands-on recommendations for action, if needed by creating in-depth reports
  • Close cooperation with the Research Operations team in the setup of questionnaires and fieldwork on the Appinio platform
  • Close cooperation with the Sales team in the implementation of initial projects for new customers and in crucial pitches and RFPs
  • Project management and strategic development of our research processes and Appinio products

You will thrive in this role if

  • You have profound knowledge of quantitative market research and/or research methods & statistics
  • You have 8+ years of experience in market research, leading quantitative studies from design to delivery - including survey creation, data analysis, development of strategic insights, and client management
  • You have excellent communication skills, a hands-on mentality, pragmatism, and proactivity, as well as an affinity for numbers and data
  • You have a cooperative and caring attitude
  • You are proficient in English
  • You are based in the United States

What’s in it for you?

  • Flexibility Policy: Our flexibility policy means there is no hard cap on the number of vacation days you can take
  • Your own MacBook as well as additional hardware to help you get set up
  • Temporary Work from Abroad: If you're based in the US, you can work outside the country for up to 4 weeks a year.
  • Healthcare package including medical, dental, vision, One Medical membership and Health Advocate memberships
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA): Use pre-tax dollars for healthcare or dependent care expenses
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match of 50% at a 3% contribution

This post not only outlines our ideal candidate but also serves as an inspiration for what this role can evolve into. Even if you consider yourself an 80% fit but have a genuine passion for this position, we encourage you to apply. We're eager to hear from individuals who share our enthusiasm.

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
