Your project:
Hily. It is a dating app that allows users to be truly themselves and enjoy dating as they are. On Hily, users become part of a community where people find genuine connections and meaningful relationships.
The app ranks among the Top 5 dating apps in the U.S. by downloads, competing with market leaders such as Tinder and Bumble.
Hily today: 40M users, 1.5B likes sent, 50M+ matches annually.
You will:
- Lead multiple cross-functional engineering teams and act as the engineering stakeholder for your business domain.
- Be the single point of alignment for your teams — unify direction and drive strategic changes through to execution on the ground.
- Build a strong partnership with Product, collaborating closely to align on priorities and deliver outcomes together.
- Improve engineering effectiveness — delivery, quality, and cross-team collaboration.
- Define, improve, and enforce the teams’ SDLC and engineering processes.
- Mentor engineers and support their career growth; participate in performance management and OKR-setting.
- Participate in hiring and raise the bar for the teams.
- Set new standards, foster engineering culture, and drive adoption of modern engineering practices — including AI — while building visibility into team health.
We'll have a match if you:
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- English level B1 or higher.
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
- Delivery & product ownership: align with stakeholders, communicate trade-offs clearly, highlight risks, and own outcomes.
- Comfort owning and shaping engineering processes / SDLC, including modern iterative practices.
- AI fluency: experience leveraging AI to optimize engineering workflows.
Will be an advantage:
- Experience with our stack — native iOS, Android, and PHP.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting agentic workflows; familiarity with SDD, LLM token economics, and context engineering.
