Global Payments Operations Manager (m/f/d)

What we are looking for:
To support our mission, we are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Global Payments Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing global payment processes, including transaction monitoring, chargebacks, refunds, fraud prevention, and payment reconciliation. You will work closely with Finance, Sales, Customer Experience, and Business Systems teams to drive operational efficiency, reduce financial risk, and enhance the overall payments infrastructure.
- Oversee and optimize global payment processing workflows to ensure seamless transactions
- Monitor and analyze payment trends, chargebacks, refunds, and fraud patterns
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent fraudulent transactions and payment failures
- Manage relationships with payment service providers (PSPs) and fraud prevention tools
- Work with cross-functional teams to enhance payment reconciliation and reporting processes
- Ensure compliance with international payment regulations and industry standards
- Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve payment performance
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for payment-related processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
- Easy to work with
- Sense of urgency
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess payment trends and optimize processes
- Experience in global payments, payment processing, or fraud prevention
- Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and payment gateway systems, as well as Excel and data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
- Fast learner with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory, any other languages are a plus
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Experience with AI-driven payment automation and fraud detection
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with Salesforce, HubSpot, or other CRM systems
- Experience in creating and maintaining payment process documentation
