What we are looking for:

To help us on our mission, we are looking for a talented and highly ambitious Director of Sales to join our team. This pivotal role will focus on spearheading our commercial strategy, driving growth, and overseeing the daily operations of our customer-facing teams. The successful candidate will collaborate extensively with multiple departments including Finance, Product, Research and Development, Strategy, Operations, and Executive staff. Responsibilities include designing and creating sales activities, as well as prioritizing initiatives to align with our company’s objectives. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of AnyDesk’s market presence.  

  • Build an international revenue engine that drives growth across all customer segments, using both the direct and indirect distribution channels  
  • Review, consolidate and align sales targets, plans, reporting and execution  
  • Continuously improve the end-to-end customer journey in a dynamic environment, ensuring that cross functional teams perform at their highest potential  
  • Build performance analysis, benchmarking, controlling and measurement structures together with finance and strategy departments to enable data driven, strategic decision making across all business relevant areas  
  • Operationalize the product sales strategy, considering all aspects of a revenue driven sales organisation  
  • Collaborate with Leadership and the strategy department in developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining corporate sales initiatives  
  • Translate key strategic priorities into a sales strategy, including territory design, distribution strategy, customer segmentation, and annual resource planning  

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Very strong ability to listen attentively, apply logic and reason, follow- through, can-do attitude, and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal   
  • Easy to work with
  • Sense of urgency
  • Ability to quickly conceptualise and visualise complex strategies and explain them in a simple and understandable way to non-experts  
  • Virtuous level of understanding of all aspects of a product driven sales organisation in a holistic way and ability to explain and take the lead both in operationalising the product sales strategy as well as tactics  
  • Demonstrated track record of working in a demanding environment and ability to cut through different and changing priorities  
  • Ability to quickly navigate and make decisions in situations with limited information  
  • Excellent knowledge of different models such as business to business and business to customer, software as a service and freemium  
  • Proven track record in implementing and continuously improving pricing and packaging of software products  
  • Advanced knowledge in all aspects of recurring business models  
  • Ownership of all aspects related to the sales strategy 
  • High attention to detail, fast learner with the ability to generalise assumptions based on experience  
  • Ability to connect to and have meaningful interactions with people of a wide range of personality types and backgrounds  
  • Demonstrated ability to work together with operations and executive management to implement structured inter-departmental processes, ensure frictionless procedure, and continuously make improvements  

 

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Several years of experience in SaaS sales, with a proven track record in strategic sales roles and team management. 
  • A demonstrated interest in software products and the ability to quickly grasp complex product features and benefits. 
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage statistics to solve real-world sales and business challenges. 
  • Proven experience in upselling and expanding business within existing customers 
  • Understanding of broad company strategies, enhanced by knowledge of historical trends and practices within the SaaS industry.  
  • Experience navigating international markets and capable of managing relationships across diverse cultural backgrounds.  
  • Well-versed in the dynamics of software sales psychology, with the ability to anticipate and respond to typical customer behaviors and buying patterns.   
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with product development teams to craft compelling product narratives.  
  • An approachable leader, excelling in mentorship and trusted by colleagues at all level of the team.   
  • Must maintain a supportive and polite demeanor, balancing confidence with respect in all business interactions
