About the Engineering Team
As a member of the Amplemarket engineering team, you will have an opportunity to work on a variety of complex and challenging projects. What We Are Looking For
Our engineering team is gearing up for an exciting phase of growth and innovation. To support our objectives, we're introducing a new role to our team: Test Automation Engineer. This person will be key in driving quality and reliability across our product suite through intelligent and robust testing strategies and automation.
The Test Automation Engineer will work alongside developers, designers, and product owners to understand requirements and user stories. They'll help ensure our code meets its requirements, is robust, scalable, and maintainable, and will also work to identify any potential risks or issues with our code and processes, and suggest improvements.
The new Test Automation Engineer will be part of the Cloud team and will be responsible for overall tools used by Product Engineering teams - identifying gaps, maintaining, and creating them. The solutions provided by this team enable the integration process to be scalable and effective with high quality.
You will:
- Automate testing wherever possible using a variety of testing tools and frameworks, across the levels of the test pyramid
- Train and coach other engineers on best practices in testing and test automation
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in manual processes using automation
- Collaborate with team to define overall testing strategy
- Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD principles, tools/platform iteratively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to influence design for testability
- Work closely with the product team to ensure all features are well-defined, tested thoroughly, and launched successfully
- Review and report on health of test suite, coverage, and defects
- Evangelize and drive adoption of software development best practices in code health, quality, test stability and maintainability
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in software engineering or frontend development.
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
- Strong command of JavaScript and experience with at least one additional programming language (Python, Ruby, Typescript).
- Excellent understanding of software development concepts and methodologies
- Experience with CI/CD setups and tools
- Familiarity with REST API concepts.
Nice to have:
- Sound understanding of test planning, test case design, and test data management.
- Experience in creating and managing automated build, test, and deployment environments.
- Have opinions on test design, test patterns, and on the different types of tests in the test pyramid
