About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support our Drive Bookings squad by participating in the development of new APIs that will help Amenitiz to distribute inventory beyond existing channels. Your mission will be to collaborate closely with the team to bring APIs to life, ensuring they are not only functional but also well-documented and observable. If you are someone with strong analytical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, motivated to create meaningful impact, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, this role might be the perfect fit for you.

Your mission - in this role you will:

  • Write high quality, well tested software
  • Identify, slice and refine Product requirements
  • Write documentation
  • Implement observability strategies
  • Provide technical support to the Care team

Your profile:

  • Strong proficiency in Ruby (on Rails) programming language. 
  • Software development expertise: Experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying scalable software systems.
  • Proficiency in system design, including understanding of distributed systems and database architecture.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and contribute to a team dedicated to improving product quality and customer experience.
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals to write optimized and efficient code.
  • Good knowledge level of best practices, and software architectural patterns, optionally DDD.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Testing frameworks: Experience with unit testing, integration testing and automated testing tools.
  • Extensive experience with APIs.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English. 

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Golang
  • Bachelor or Master Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. We value experience over formal education.
  • Experience in scale-ups (from MVP to high traffic and high performance)
