QA LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead Contractor to provide end‑to‑end test leadership for a major transformation programme involving AI solutions developed in Pega and Azure, with complex downstream integrations. This is a project‑focused role, responsible for defining and delivering the testing strategy and overseeing SIT and UAT execution across multiple lines of business.

The successful candidate will take ownership of test governance, planning and delivery, ensuring environments, integrations and business testing are fully aligned to project outcomes and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and own the end‑to‑end Test Strategy, covering SIT, UAT and downstream regression testing.
• Produce test plans, schedules and estimates aligned to the overall project plan.
• Ensure SIT and UAT environment readiness, including integrations, systems, components and test data.
• Lead and coordinate SIT & UAT execution across business areas including Operations, Claims and Finance.
• Manage defects through to resolution in line with agreed governance and quality processes.
• Track progress and provide daily status reporting, summary reporting and clear risk escalation.
• Chair regular test progress forums and maintain close alignment with the Project Manager.
• Educate and support business testers on testing approaches and best practice.
• Support the creation of robust, end‑to‑end business test scenarios.

QA LEAD REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience operating as a QA Lead or Test Manager on complex, integrated programmes
• Strong knowledge of SIT and UAT governance, quality gates and defect management
• Experience testing enterprise platforms and integrations (Pega and cloud environments desirable)
• Confident stakeholder management skills, including working with business and IT teams
• Comfortable operating independently in a contractor, outcome‑based role
