Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack – React & Python)

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) with strong expertise in React and Python to join our engineering team. The candidate is a self-driven engineer with a startup mentality, capable of working independently while delivering robust, production-grade systems. This role requires someone who understands the full product lifecycle, can think in systems, and clearly communicates technical decisions, trade-offs, and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React (frontend) and Python (backend).
• Build production-ready features that integrate with internal and external APIs.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Design and implement REST APIs, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Analyse and communicate non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Understand and manage the impact of backend architecture on frontend performance and user experience.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to system design decisions.
• Integrate external services and emerging technologies such as LLM-based services where appropriate.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Core Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer
• Strong expertise in React and modern frontend development.
• Solid backend development experience using Python.
• Experience building and maintaining live, production-grade products.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of React ecosystem and modern frontend development practices.
• Backend development using Python (API development, service design).
• Experience with REST APIs, API integration, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Understanding of system design principles and scalable architectures.
• Ability to analyse and explain non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability, security).
• Understanding of how backend design impacts frontend performance and behavior.
• Experience integrating LLMs or AI services is a strong plus.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong system thinking and structured problem solving.
• Ability to clearly articulate technical ideas and trade-offs.
