We are looking for a Junior Technical Consultant and Integration Specialist, who will be involved in collaborating with customers and internal stakeholders to provide technical consulting and support throughout project lifecycles and implementing solutions. The position can be based in Dornbirn or Vienna, Austria.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Junior Technical Consultant & Integration Specialist, you are responsible for onboarding carriers and freight forwarders to our Transportation Management System (TMS) through standardized B2B interfaces. You act as the primary customer-facing technical contact throughout the onboarding process, ensuring smooth onboarding delivery from initial setup through go-live.
This role focuses on configuration, troubleshooting, and coordination, rather than software development, and plays a key role in ensuring successful customer and partner integrations.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for carriers and freight forwarders during interface onboarding.
- Coordinate and manage onboarding scope, timelines, and expectations with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Configure integration settings in the TMS and prepare test data required for onboarding.
- Support and execute technical integration testing, including message validation, error analysis, and issue resolution guidance.
- Analyze interface messages and support carriers in resolving integration issues.
- Coordinate and support interface go-live activities and provide short-term post–go-live hypercare support.
- Communicate progress, risks, and milestones through regular and structured status updates.
- Contribute ideas for improving delivery processes and support the implementation of improvements.
- Maintain and regularly improve onboarding documentation, templates, and runbooks.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN YOU
- Strong interest in IT and software solutions, especially SaaS platforms and B2B integrations.
- High attention to detail and a strong interest in technical configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to work in a structured manner while managing multiple onboarding projects in parallel.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Basic understanding of EDI integration concepts, standards, or delivery methodologies is a plus
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation management processes is a strong plus.
NICE TO HAVE
- Mandatory fluency in English, any other European language is a plus.
- Experience with EDI or interface standards (e.g. EDIFACT, ANSI X12, XML, JSON)
- Familiarity with APIs, SFTP, or EDI/message-based integrations
- Previous experience in a customer-facing delivery or professional services role

*The collective agreement for this position offers a basic salary of at least € 3.104 EUR gross per month. The actual salary depends on your knowledge, skills, and experience.
