About The Job

Our future lies in our people: the ones we develop, the ones we attract. This role reporting to the VP People will therefore be pivotal to lead and transform Alma's talent acquisition strategy, to address current recruitment challenges, reduce time-to-hire, and build a world-class talent pipeline that supports our ambitious growth across European markets. You will furthermore contribute to shape key topics for Alma’s growth (incl our EVP, employer brand, DEI orientations).

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with Alma's growth objectives across multiple European markets
  • Build and optimize recruitment processes to reduce time-to-hire and improve candidate quality & experience
  • Establish data-driven recruitment metrics and KPIs to measure success and identify improvement areas
  • Partner with leadership to forecast hiring needs and create strategic workforce planning

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and mentor the current TA team (currently 4 people to be scaled) to deliver exceptional results
  • Implement innovative sourcing strategies including direct sourcing, employer branding, and passive candidate engagement
  • Establish robust frameworks and assessment methodologies to reduce bias and optimize fit
  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners and agencies accordingly

Market Expansion & Scaling

  • Develop localized recruitment strategies for different European markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium)
  • Establish Alma as an employer of choice in the competitive fintech/BNPL space through an omnichannel strategy

Technology & Culture

  • Leverage recruitment technology and AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining human touch
  • Implement ATS optimization and candidate relationship management systems
  • Stay ahead of market trends, including the impact of GenAI on tech hiring processes
  • Embed Alma's values throughout the recruitment process, ensuring candidates align with our core principles and make it shine
  • Refine and promote our Employee Value Proposition and DEI initiatives internally and externally

What would make you a perfect fit for the job?

Background

  • Experience: 10+ years in talent acquisition with at least 3 years in leadership roles
  • Scale-up expertise: Proven experience scaling recruitment in fast-growth tech companies in an international context, preferably in Europe
  • DEI expertise: Demonstrated experience implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives
  • Languages: Fluent in English and French; additional European languages are a plus

Technical skills

  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop long-term talent strategies aligned with business goals
  • Data analysis: Strong analytical skills to measure and improve recruitment performance
  • Stakeholder management: Excellent ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
  • Market knowledge: Deep understanding of European talent markets and competitive landscape
  • Technology proficiency: Experience with modern ATS, sourcing tools, and recruitment technology

  • Interview with Recruiter (30-45 mins)
  • Remote interview with Hiring Manager (60 mins)
  • On-site Case study presentation (60 mins)
  • On-site Final interview with DIRCO member and some team members (30 mins)
