Corporate Credit Risk team's mission: Support Alma's sustainable growth across Europe by proactively identifying and mitigating merchant risks.

About the mission

Reporting to International Credit Risk Manager, you will be in charge of:

  • Performing financial analysis and risk assessment by evaluating merchant financial stability and performing a due diligence on its activity while ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements
  • Handling complex escalation cases as directed by your manager, investigating potential fraud or financial distress signals and formulating actionable recommendations
  • Executing day-to-day risk monitoring activities for international merchant portfolios, tracking key performance indicators and identifying suspicious activities promptly
  • Supporting the development of tools and processes specifically designed for international risk monitoring, helping adapt French risk frameworks to local market specificities and regulatory requirements
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for local operations teams
  • Contributing to cross-functional projects aimed at improving operational efficiency and implementing scalable solutions for international expansion
  • Working closely with multiple internal stakeholders such as local country teams, Business Operations, Partnership, Finance, and Compliance teams
  • Facilitating knowledge transfer and best practice sharing across different markets while maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders

About you

👉🏻 Being a International Credit Risk Analyst requires a wide skillset:

  • Learning agility: you quickly understand new markets, regulations, adapting effectively to different business contexts
  • Financial analysis basics: you have a financial foundational knowledge with a strong willingness to develop these skills further
  • Communication: you collaborate effectively across teams and cultures, presenting complex information clearly to various stakeholders

Your experience:

  • You have at least 1-2 years of experience with a proven track record in a Fintech, Payment Provider, Bank, Consulting firm, or another fast-paced work environment
  • You are a French speaker and fluent in English (mandatory for daily international stakeholder interactions)
  • You are comfortable with data analysis, Excel or SQL expertise is a plus
  • Previous experience in an international and multicultural context is preferred but not mandatory
