What You Will Do:

We are seeking a diligent finance and business operations professional with strong accounting experience to join our Barcelona-based team.
This role is ideal for an individual who excels in a fast-paced startup environment and is adept at balancing meticulous financial details with the broader vision of the company’s financial and operational health.

  • Financial Stewardship: You will support / later oversee the precise execution of financial transactions and maintain the integrity of our financial records.
  • Financial Closure: Your responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and the smooth and accurate closure of our books at month-end and year-end.
  • Tax Compliance: Your expertise will guide our adherence to tax regulations, ensuring compliance and strategic financial planning as well as declare the monthly VAT reporting.
  • Payroll Administration: You will support payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate compensation for our workforce.
  • HR Administration & Operations: Contribute to our growth initiatives by providing essential HR administrative support, including creating detailed HR documents (contracts, certificates) and managing HR systems (Personio), while maintaining strict confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Support of Executive Administration: Whether you’re aligning a packed calendar, orchestrating meetings across multiple time zones, managing internal documentation and incoming invoices, or simplifying complex travel logistics, your multitasking, organizational, and decision-making skills will be paramount.

Your Profile:

  • Educational Foundation: An Apprenticeship / Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration signifies your formal expertise.
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated experience in financial / accounting roles (3+ years), especially within dynamic business settings. Your practical knowledge in accounting and financial reporting is expected.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficient use of accounting software such as Datev and SAP is ideal, intermediate Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting are expected.
  • Operational Skills: You are seasoned in handling all accounting relevant aspects (such as accounts payable and receivable), competent in managing the general ledger through monthly and yearly closings, and ideally familiar with payroll processes.
  • Analytical Acumen: Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential for managing complex financial data and scenarios.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in financial and HR data management is a must, ensuring integrity in every aspect of our financial and HR operations.
  • Organizational Prowess: You possess excellent organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in German and English is necessary
