Working Student Retail Events & Operations
Probably the least boring job you’ll ever have.
At air up, we don’t just make bottles. We unbore water with flavor by scent. It makes no sense until you try it, and once you do, there’s no going back. Behind it all are teams pushing boundaries every day. Product bends taste and design in new directions. Marketing turns ideas into moments people talk about. Operations makes sure those moments reach hands everywhere.
Working here feels like stepping on stage: professionalism meets passion, curiosity meets courage. You’ll experiment, fail fast, learn faster, and actually see your ideas come to life. It's refreshingly low politics and low ego. Just smart, driven people who lift each other up and make things happen. And whatever happens, it sure won't be boring.
Welcome to air up.
Thirsty for a role at the intersection of field and brand activations, trade marketing, and retail operations? 💧
At air up, we’re changing how the world drinks water through the power of scent. After conquering the digital space, we’re rapidly scaling our offline retail presence across Europe—and we need you to help us own the shelf and the field.
As our Working Student for Business Development & Operations in our Retail team, you'll sit at the intersection of commercial strategy and physical execution. You'll connect early customer interest with what actually happens in stores. This means rolling up your sleeves to organize sampling and tasting events across >40 locations weekly, coordinating with external agencies, and managing local warehouse logistics—yes, including packing parcels, building sampling kits, and handling shipments. On the strategic side, you'll track campaign data, optimize shelf displays, and present field insights to cross-functional teams to steer future retail growth.
*** This role is located in Munich, Germany***
In this role, we offer a hybrid working model that balances weekly office days for team collaboration, on-site events, and remote days for focused, independent work.
Your responsibilities
- Warehouse & Logistics: Own local warehouse and in-office inventory for activation materials. You'll handle physical stock, package sampling kits, manage parcel/pallet shipments, and track deliveries so tastings always happen on schedule.
- Agency & Sampling Management: Serve as the main contact for external field agencies, overseeing POS tasting activations across multiple countries and keeping workflows organized.
- Data & Insights: Consolidate field metrics, agency performance, and retail KPIs into weekly reports, generating actionable findings to shape future strategy.
- Retail Excellence: Connect high-level trade marketing strategy with ground execution, supporting on-site brand activations, shelf setups, and display optimizations on a day-to-day basis
This is you
- Business Advocate: You’re currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Hands-On & Reliable: You aren't afraid of physical execution—from packing boxes to organizing inventory—and you thrive on bringing order to fast-moving campaign logistics
- Retail & Trial Enthusiast: Passionate about trade marketing and field activations. Prior experience in event marketing or agency coordination is a plus.
- Analytical & Excel-Savvy: Comfortable with numbers, data tracking, and translating raw event metrics into clear recommendations.
- Structured & Reliable: You thrive on bringing structure to chaos. Planning, prioritizing, and organizing project workflows comes naturally to you.
- Great Communicator: Fluent in English with strong German proficiency; confident presenting field learnings back to internal stakeholders and collaborating with partner agencies.
- Munich-based: available for at least 15–20 hours per week, with physical on-site availability
