As HR Operations Manager, you will be a critical part of our People & Culture (P&C) team, reporting to the VP of People and Culture. You will focus on driving operational excellence in HR processes, supporting our national and international teams, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across Finance, Legal, and the broader P&C Leadership team. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to lead initiatives that enhance efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring smooth execution of processes across payroll, compliance, employee benefits, onboarding, offboarding and workforce data management.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Legal teams on cross-functional projects, ensuring data integrity, adherence to compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR), and seamless integration for international operations.
  • Oversee the German as well as the international monthly payroll processes, optimizing payroll setups for new countries across Europe and beyond.
  • Support global compensation and benefits programs to ensure equity and competitiveness across all teams.
  • Contribute to the selection and implementation of a global HRIS, enhancing HR automation and employee self-service capabilities.
  • Coordinate global mobility and relocation processes, addressing tax, workation, and remote-work compliance requirements.
  • Act as the primary contact for P&C audits, compliance reviews, local authorities, taxes, social security, health insurance, and company pension schemes.

About You

  • Proven experience in an HR Operations role, with a track record of managing operational complexities in scaling businesses.
  • Empathetic, proactive, and collaborative, with excellent communication skills and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, capable of navigating international environments with efficiency and precision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of German employment systems and a working knowledge of European employment/payroll regulations.
  • Proficient in the google suite of products and familiar with project management tools and HR systems.
  • Fluency in English (our company language) and German is essential.
