About the Role

We're looking for a QA/QMS Lead to build and scale our quality management capabilities across R&D and Cloud product operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can architect a modern QA program from the ground up—establishing ISO 9001-compliant processes while driving technical excellence in test automation and release quality.

You'll report directly to the SVP of Engineering and work closely with engineering teams, product management, and operations to embed quality throughout our development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of process discipline and technical depth, and who can move fluidly between writing automation frameworks and presenting audit findings to leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Design, implement, and maintain an ISO 9001-compliant Quality Management System across R&D and Cloud operations
  • Build and lead a QA function, hiring and developing team members as the program matures
  • Establish QA automation strategy and infrastructure, building frameworks that integrate tightly with Azure DevOps pipelines and our .NET and C++ codebases
  • Define and enforce release quality gates, metrics, and processes that improve product reliability without slowing delivery
  • Own internal and external audit preparation, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Partner with engineering leadership to integrate quality practices into agile development workflows
  • Establish KPIs and reporting that give leadership visibility into quality trends and risk areas

What You Bring

  • 8+ years in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management capacity
  • Direct experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 or similar QMS standards (ISO 27001, CMMI) in a software development environment
  • Strong hands-on skills in test automation for .NET applications—experience with frameworks like MSTest, NUnit, xUnit, SpecFlow, or Playwright; comfortable writing and reviewing C# code
  • Experience with C++ testing frameworks (Google Test, Catch2, or similar) is a plus
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, test plans, and release management
  • Track record of improving release quality and reducing defect escape rates in complex software products
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate between technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Experience scaling QA practices in a growing organization; comfortable building processes and teams from early stages

Nice to Have

  • Experience with document processing, OCR, or intelligent automation products
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services and microservices testing strategies
  • Background in AI/ML product quality, including model validation approaches
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Azure Load Testing)
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification
