WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON
This role involves stakeholders and community engagement to curate and foster relationships, in order to nurture and grow a vibrant and engagement network of partners for *SCAPE and Somerset Belt.
1. Stakeholder Engagement
- Co-develop and implement the stakeholder engagement strategies aligned with *SCAPE’s goals and objectives. Plan and organise regular platforms to facilitate dialogue and collaboration, in order to foster strong relationships amongst key stakeholders.
- Cultivate and manage strategic relationships with, but not limited to, government agencies, educational institutions, community organisations, youth groups, and corporate partners.
- Develop partnerships that create opportunities for youth development, volunteerism, mentorship, and community engagement.
- Identify and pursue funding sources and resources to support *SCAPE’s initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of stakeholder management activities.
- Coordinate and manage event-related matters with partners to ensure that all activations in *SCAPE are aligned with *SCAPE’s mission to be a vibrant space for youths.
2. Research, Impact Measurement, Governance and Reporting
- Develop and maintain metrics and reporting mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of stakeholder engagement efforts in order to provide regular updates to management and Board.
- Analyse engagement and community data to support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
- Track and report key performance indicators relating to stakeholder engagement and community impact.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to strengthen *SCAPE's engagement ecosystem and long-term relevance.
- Ensure compliance with organisational governance, risk management, and safety requirements.
- Prepare management reports, Board papers, funding submissions, and strategic recommendations.
3. Other responsibilities
- Provide guidance to junior team members
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Engagement and Management from time to time.
- Support organisational priorities and strategic initiatives beyond the scope of the role when required.
WHO YOU ARE
Experience and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, public relations, community development, public affairs) is required.
- Proven experience in stakeholder and community management, or related fields.
- Understanding of stakeholder management principles and community engagement/building strategies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect, build rapport and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Good project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing innovative approaches to stakeholder and community engagement.
- Proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for stakeholder engagement, communication and collaboration.
