Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) Lead
Your Role
As ORSA Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end coordination, development and delivery of Apollo’s Own Risk and Solvency Assessment.
Working within the Enterprise Risk Management team, you will bring together business planning, capital management, stress and scenario testing, risk appetite and emerging risk assessment. You will ensure the ORSA provides a clear, forward-looking view of Apollo’s ability to deliver its strategic objectives within its approved risk appetite.
What you’ll do
Lead the annual ORSA process from initial planning through to Board approval and regulatory submission.
Develop the ORSA timetable and stakeholder engagement plan, coordinating input from underwriting, finance, actuarial, capital modelling and executive management.
Produce a clear and insightful ORSA report that supports effective business decisions.
Improve ORSA methodologies and identify opportunities for automation and greater efficiency.
Embed ORSA thinking into business planning and decision-making rather than treating it as a standalone annual exercise.
Lead stress testing and reverse stress testing programmes, including vulnerability assessments and emerging risk workshops.
Provide constructive second-line challenge on business plans, strategic proposals and material changes to Apollo’s risk profile.
Work closely with actuarial and finance teams on financial projections, solvency coverage and capital adequacy.
Support Executive Committee and Board consideration of material risks and opportunities.
Lead risk reporting for relevant management committees.
Help ensure Apollo and its managed syndicates continue to meet applicable PRA, Lloyd’s and Solvency UK requirements.
What we are looking for
Strong Enterprise Risk Management experience within insurance.
Experience leading, or making a significant contribution to, an ORSA process.
A good understanding of the UK insurance regulatory environment and solvency requirements.
Experience of stress testing and scenario analysis.
Confidence engaging with Executive Committees, Boards and senior stakeholders.
Strong written communication and report-writing skills.
The ability to turn complex technical analysis into clear, practical management insight.
Knowledge of Lloyd’s governance and oversight requirements would be beneficial, although this can be developed within the role.
A relevant professional qualification, such as IRM or CII, would be advantageous.
Senior Delegated Facilities Technician
Your Role
We are looking for a Senior Delegated Facilities Technician to support the effective oversight and performance of Apollo’s delegated facilities portfolio.
Working closely with underwriters and teams across the business, you will apply Apollo’s Third-Party Oversight Framework to help maintain regulatory compliance, strong customer outcomes and effective portfolio management. You will also provide technical guidance on delegated arrangements and contribute to the continued development of the team’s processes and expertise.
What You’ll Do
Provide technical guidance to underwriters on delegated facilities and third-party oversight.
Complete onboarding and ongoing due diligence for delegated authority arrangements, including Binding Authorities, Consortia, Line Slips and Master or Group Policies.
Support the sponsorship process for Lloyd’s approval across relevant territories.
Manage bordereaux and third-party data, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Coordinate annual audits, review audit reports and track recommendations through to completion.
Maintain delegated facilities information and records within Apollo’s management systems.
Support performance management processes, including premium income monitoring, product governance and internal audits.
Contribute to departmental projects and the Delegated Authority Oversight Group.
Work with internal teams including Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Pricing, Exposure Management and Compliance to resolve queries and improve outcomes.
What We Are Looking For
Experience managing the Lloyd’s sponsorship and approval process across multiple territories, including the UK, North America and the EEA.
Strong knowledge of delegated authority oversight, due diligence, bordereaux management and audit management.
Good understanding of Lloyd’s systems, processes and regulatory expectations.
Experience using relevant Lloyd’s platforms such as Atlas, DCOM, DAM, Crystal or the Binding Authority QA Tool.
Confidence engaging with underwriters and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
A responsive and organised approach, with the ability to manage changing priorities and keep stakeholders informed.
Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to address underlying issues.
An interest in developing deeper technical expertise and contributing to the wider capability of the team.
Ceded Reinsurance Specialist, Platform Partner Syndicates
Your Role
We are looking for a Ceded Reinsurance Specialist to join Apollo's Ceded Reinsurance Team, overseeing and supporting ceded reinsurance activity across our managed Platform Partner Syndicates (PPS).
You will act as a key contact for our partner syndicates, helping to ensure ceded reinsurance arrangements are administered effectively and operated in line with Apollo processes, Lloyd's Principles and wider regulatory requirements. Supporting the full lifecycle of reinsurance activity, you will coordinate contract administration, reporting, settlements and governance activities across a growing portfolio of syndicates.
Working closely with Finance, Claims, brokers, partner syndicates, external counterparties and outsourced service providers, you will help maintain high standards of service, operational control and stakeholder support.
This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team where you will support multiple syndicates and partner businesses while developing your expertise across the ceded reinsurance lifecycle.
What you’ll do
Act as a key day-to-day contact for Platform Partner Syndicates, providing oversight and support across ceded reinsurance activities and queries.
Support the placement, administration and ongoing management of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance arrangements, including contract processing, premium and claims settlements through LORS.
Coordinate outsourced reinsurance support where used, reviewing outputs, monitoring activity and helping to ensure accurate processing.
Prepare management information and reporting for syndicate governance meetings, Lloyd's reporting and regulatory submissions.
Attending syndicate governance meetings to support the ceded reinsurance function
Maintain accurate contract and reinsurance data, working with internal teams, brokers and external counterparties to resolve queries and support effective execution.
Support the onboarding of additional Platform Partner Syndicates and contribute to improvements in processes, controls and service delivery.
What we are looking for
Experience working within a London Market ceded, outward or reinsurance operations environment.
An understanding of proportional and non-proportional reinsurance arrangements and the associated administration, reporting, premium and claims processes.
Experience using reinsurance systems and knowledge of Lloyd's market systems, including LORS.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage data accurately across multiple workstreams and deadlines.
Confidence working with a range of stakeholders, including underwriters, finance teams, claims teams, brokers and external partners.
A collaborative and organised approach, with a willingness to take ownership, solve problems and continuously improve processes.
Experience preparing management information, governance reporting or regulatory submissions would be beneficial.
